Do I need a facility to inspect the vehicles?
No, you don’t need a facility to conduct inspections as the inspections we require are mostly visual and cover basic functionality not always requiring the vehicle to be lifted.
Do I need to travel to the vehicle?
In most cases no as we try to consolidate multiple vehicles to a central location to inspect all together, however at times customers want their inspections to be inspected at their location and for those circumstances we travel to the vehicle’s location, however for that service we will accommodate a fixed travel allowance.
What do I need to inspect the vehicles?
You don’t need anything other than your eyes, ears, knowledge and a phone. We provide the software through an inspection app. The inspection criteria doesn’t call for anything other than your ability to systematically check a set criteria of basic operational functions of the motor-vehicle.
What does a typical inspection look like?
Using the inspection app:
Check the inspection request and confirm the vehicle details.
Systematically check the vehicles main basic functions.
Identify any fail points
Pass or fail the vehicle
Apply the approval if passed
Send the report
How do I know when a vehicle inspection is available?
Once you apply and successfully become registered as an approved inspector we you will have access to the inspector portal where all booked inspections will be posted, including the location of the vehicle. Additionally, after any vehicle is booked for inspection, an alert will be sent to you based on your chosen inspection area and if you accept the inspection, you would coordinate with the vehicle owner directly to schedule the inspection.
Once I complete the inspection, what are my obligations?
Once you complete the inspection(s), you will submit the completed report via the inspection app. The vehicle(s) will be in either a pass or fail status only, there is no other outcome so the inspection will be completed upon this determination. Once you submit the report your obligations are complete.
How do I get paid for my work?
After submitting your inspection report you would submit your payment request. You can do this per unit or set the duration you wish to be compensated up to 1 month as a maximum. You must have a valid US bank account in which to accept payments as all payments are electronic.
This is not an employee role but a contractor role. You would be responsible for any responsibilities associated with performing contractor work. We pay a set per unit inspection charge and a fixed travel charge if applicable based on a set distance identified by zip codes.
